An
archer as guide
Your talents as trakker and your capacity of concentration
will be put at stake, a delicate and passionate
program for which Thierry Fécomme will
make every effort to transmit to you the secret
of his art. |
|
|
The camp offers a specially prepared practice
ground for initiation and training with 3D targets
(reproducing full scale animals) thus allowing
true apprenticeship for hunting on different
grounds.
After a few days you shall be able to put in
practice your newly acquired techniques and
to return with a trophy.

Hunting
with bow
Shooting by using bows in a safari is not a new tendency, but rather a return to noble values in order to reconcile mankind with naturer |
 |
In this respect Thierry Fécomme shares a passion with
great African hunters and categorical supporters of preservation
of nature. |

All
feelings alert...
The bow requires positive energy and commands all senses of the
archer to go for his aim, from then on the wind, humidity, each
sound and each meter gained towards the target influence the success.
Hunting with a bow absorbs the hunter deeply into his environment
where he is placing himself on equal terms with his prey. |
 |
Art
of adaptation
Just be aware that a primitive bow is as effective as a modern bow
made in laminated wood. For the beginners it is better to have simple
and straight bow to start with.
Under the equatorial climate one must consider a significant loss
of elasticity due to the high degree of humidity, therefore the
bow becomes “soft”. Any well tuned arc will find his
arrow.
Primitive bows do not forgive any mistakes related to the release
of an arrow and hand position. In order to keep balance you must
use the bow which you have mastered until now. Primitive bows shall
be slower than modern ones, so you shall have to anticipate and
be more careful. |
